PulsePower data handling
Updated 21 October 2026. PulsePower is currently a personal development project restricted to its configured Strava account.
Workout recordings
Heart rate, cycling power, cadence and GPS recordings are stored on the iPhone. When you select Upload to Strava, the app sends your FIT file directly to Strava. The hosted connection service does not receive workout files or sensor streams. Strava processes uploaded activities under its own settings and policies.
Connection service
The AWS service in London stores your Strava athlete identifier, encrypted authorization tokens and connection-session records. It uses these to sign in, refresh access and disconnect. The app stores its connection session in the device Keychain. Sign-in handoff records expire after ten minutes and device sessions expire after thirty days.
Disconnecting
Disconnect in PulsePower to revoke Strava access and remove active authorization credentials. You can also revoke access in Strava’s My Apps settings. This does not delete workouts already saved on your phone or uploaded to Strava. Database backups may retain previous records for up to thirty-five days.
Operational records
AWS function logs are retained for fourteen days. The application does not log authorization tokens, callback URLs or workout data. No advertising or analytics scripts are installed on these pages.
